COMMITTEES

A Crisis committee is a decision making body that has more power than a traditional committee. Whilst General Assemblies recommend and build consensus, crisis committees produce action. Crisis committees usually take place during a critical point in history.

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is the primary peacekeeping organ of the United Nations. The UNSC works to diffuse acts of aggression and threats to the maintenance of peace both internationally and internationally.

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is made up of 193 member states of the Organization, which meet to discuss various issues, including issues of budget, disarmament, international cooperation, among others.

The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is a United Nations body whose objective is to promote and defend human rights around the world. In the international community, its role is to examine human rights violations and recommend how they should be addressed.

The G20 (or Group of Twenty) is an international forum for the governments and central bank governors from 19 countries and the European Union. Founded in 1999 with the aim to discuss policy pertaining to the promotion of international financial stability.
